This is a random completion of Double Dragon 2 on the original Nintendo system. Absolutely love this game and have been playing on and off for 30 years. Gotta play on Supreme Master.
I am just uploading defeats of games that I personally owned as a kid and this game in particular I beat countless times. Proud of this run because I literally just beat TMNT 1 on the same night for the 1st time recording (I beat it a week before technically for the first time). I beat Double Dragon II on this run with only one death on the same night; definitely worthy of an upload.
Only things I’d have to say about this game is that it is great and easily the best of the Double Dragon series on the NES. Additionally, when fighting the final boss, you should do one back-kick, then walk away, and every time thereafter you can back-kick and/or punch him with impunity because he is kind of “sensitive” after the fist one. After you take advantage of this and knock him down, you must do another single back-kick to start the process all over again. Repeat this process, and he is a goner.
Beyond that: this game definitely can be trying on your hands! I am glad I am done uploading this because I’m old and getting the knee-kick on enemies is killing me over here.
I played this game on an original NES on an original controller on an original TV. All these years later and I still can kick the Supreme Master’s ass and I love this game most out of the series. Definitely worth a playthrough!
